Constructed at a time when quality was key - this villa offers curb appeal the minute you set eyes on it.
Phase one of Casa Linda seems a world away from the more modern hustle of today's new construction. It's a peaceful and tranquil little oasis of 30 or so properties set in mature gardens where the idea of Casa Linda was first conceived.
This particular villa was constructed in 1995 before even I arrived, and is a testament to its builder. The same style of villa is still being built to this very day, so obviously the original plan has stood the test of time. In fact, you could order the construction of one today. If you did, today's pre-construction price for an identical villa is $210000 and that doesn't include the building plot that would typically cost an additional $45000 or so and I doubt you could find a plot as inviting as this one.
A villa Hispaniola offers high ceilings and an elegant design. When you walk through the front door your eye is drawn to the rear terrace and the pool beyond, but first to your right is the kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is in a galley style with plenty of cupboard space at both eye level and under-counter. There is a large breakfast bar that offers additional work surfaces.
Moving on through the ample living space there are two bedroom to the left that share a "jack and Jill" bathroom and the master bedroom with en-suite is to the right hand side. In this particular villa the double bed is in the second bedroom, while the master bedroom and third bedroom both have a double and a single bed and consequently the villa can easily accommodate 8 people.
Outside there's an inviting pool and a pool / pump house with a laundry room.
The grounds are very well maintained with mature trees (including a prolific avocado) totaling around 770 square meters.
Monthly fees are currently around $360 per month. These guarantee security, 24 hour power, maintenance of common areas, rubbish collection and so forth.
The villa has been used to generate rental income for many years, typical nightly rates are $175 for three bedroom or $150 for two bedrooms.
The villa is furnished as a rental property, but if you were to ask my opinion I think it's crying out for someone to love it and call it their home.
